New Provincial of South East India

On the 31st December 2012 at the completion of eight years of service as Provincial Superior of South East Province, Pondicherry, the sisters organised a thanks giving eucharistic sacrifice for Sr. Teresa. Rev. Father Cyril from the Bishops house was the main celebrant. Sister Regina, the assistant provincial welcomed the gathering and the symbolic offerings on the different stages of growth in paddy seed was offered.

On the 1st January 2013 Sr. Rosita was installed as the 14th Provincial of the South East Province, Pondicherry.The high point of the celebration was the lighting of the lamps in each of the 26 houses placed in the sanctuary in order of their foundation. A meaningful eucharistic sacrifice then followed. see photos from the installation ceremony |

Transition of leadership

On the 11th November the Province of USA & Canada welcomed Sr. Luke Parker as their newly appointed Provincial. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Sr. Luke entered the community in 1964 an spent many years in educatuon in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and Torrance, California. During the last nine years Sr. Luke served as Vice Provincial of the Province. November 11th is a significant day in the Congregation celebrating one of our Patrons, Saint Martin of Tours and the baptism day of our Foundress, Blesses Anne Marie Javouhey. Sr. Luke follows Sr. Joan Van der Zyden who has served the Province as Provincial since November 2003. We are grateful to Sr. Joan for her leadership of the Province and hold her in prayer as she now transitions to her new role a as General Councilor of the Congregation.
