Cluny
Associates
|
Cluny associates are members of the laity who are invited
to live their call to holiness by journeying with the sisters
and Anne- Marie in the footsteps of Christ. Their call is
similar to that of Jesus ' call to his disciples: to share
in his life, to spread his message.
Cluny
associate partnership is for lay men and women who, in response
to an invitation, share in the charism, spirituality, and
mission of the Cluny sisters. The programme empowers the
associates to take an active part in living their baptismal
call to mission in the Church.
In the
spirit and charism of Anne - Marie, the associates promise
to promote Gospel values by an authentic Christian witness
in their home, workplace, parish. The sisters and associates
mutually support and sustain each other in this mission
by their prayer life and by their unique commitment to work
for the building of God's kingdom.
The
sisters believe they have a special call to sharing their
mission and spirituality with the laity. This was uniquely
expressed at a recent meeting. A young adult awed by the
gift of a vocation to religious life said: " Sisters,
you have a precious gift of spirituality, but you must feel
obliged to share that gift with the laity. We are providing
this opportunity through our associate programme believing
|God calls all of us to communion with Him."
In the
footsteps of Anne -Marie, Cluny sisters continue her missionary
call to bring the Jesus of the gospel to all God's people.
They believe her light was not put out in the night. No!
her light still shines and will continue to shine as the
sisters, in partnership with their associates, enthusiastically
carry the torch.

ASSOCIATES'
PRAYER
O,
Blessed Anne-Marie,
Following the example of Christ,
You lived your whole life
Attentive to the Will of the Father
You were completely
Convinced of His loving plan for you,
Led by the Spirit
You wished to announce the gospel in distant lands
And to reveal to all people their dignity.
Help
us, we pray you, to be, in our turn,
Seekers of the Father's Will.
Grant us your ardent desire
To help others to grow.
We
confide to you our families, our relatives,
And our places of work.
May each of us discover God's plan for our new lives
So that together
We may build a world of love,
The sign of the Kingdom to come.
AMEN
