Mulhuddart Community

The Mulhuddart S.J.C community united in Christ and in answer to is call strives to play a part in developing the faith life of the Parish. Through livingtheir lives in a Gospel environment the Sister’s endeavour to witness to gospel values in their respective ministries. Each sister has a specific role to play in using her giftedness in a collaborative effort to enhance the life of the local people / church.
 

Ministries include participation in the Parish Pastoral Council, the development of Baptismal, Eucharistic and Liturgical teams etc, Outreach Work e.g. visitation / support for families under stress through bereavement, addiction, separation etc.   and the co ordination of a small Family Resource Centre. The sisters also support Community Development initiatives through participation with other agencies thus enabling the local community to improve and enhance its quality of life.
 

Through living in community the sisters are sustained and energised by their daily prayer together and shared Eucharist in the Parish. The convent in which the community of three reside is seen as very much part of the community and a place for prayer and support. The sisters are seen to link their prayer life with care in the community.
