St.Joseph’s Convent Nursing Home, Stafford

Written by Administrator. Posted in Care of the Sick

St.Joseph's Convent Nursing Home is owned by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. The Home is situated within walking distance of Stafford town centre, with good road and rail links and located in well-tended gardens and grounds.

Service users of any denomination are cared for and welcome to all the facilities offered by the Home. There are three floors with a lift facility and an exit ramp.
The home has 41 bedrooms, of which thirteen are en-suite. The Home provides a fully equipped kitchen, catering for the individual needs and special diets of the residents.

Daily Mass is celebrated and a Church of England Vicar provides a monthly service.
The chaplain is always willing to visit residents in their rooms, as are the Sisters of the Community.

Accomodation
All bedrooms are furnished in accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000. Each room is equipped with a TV aerial, telephone point and nurse-call system. Residents are encouraged to bring small items of furniture, pictures, and memorabilia to help create an atmosphere of 'home from home'.

Lunch is served in the elegant dining room overlooking the garden. The large lounge hosts most of the regular activities as well as celebrations for various occasions.

Services

The home is equipped with necessary disability/mobility aids such as assisted baths and hoists. Doctors, dentists, chiropodists, physiotherapists, hairdressers and opticians make regular visits. The local library sends a selection of books and audio-cassettes, monthy.

We enjoy when the school choir performs for the sisters and our residents.
